Creality K1 review: Let’s take a closer look at this new speedy printer

3D printers

Are you looking for a 3D printer that is super fast and easy to use? In this case, Creality K1 could be what you need! The new model from Creality has caught a lot of attention among 3D printing enthusiasts. One of its main features that spike the most interest is its speed.

Called “The king of speed” by Creality, the K1 model will be available on our website at the beginning of June. In the meantime, we invite you to read more about it and see if is worthy of consideration.

Key features and specifications

Crealitys K1 is definitely offering innovative features that had only been seen in more expensive 3D printers from other brands. Consequently, it stands out from the rest because of its features and great price.

Let’s take a look at some of the most interesting features of this new 3D printer:

SPEED

Its max speed is 600 mm/s which makes it 12 times faster than “normal” FDM 3D printers available. It has an unbelievable acceleration of 20.000mm/s² and reaches its full speed in 0.03 seconds. Quite fast, don’t you think?

Moreover, this model has not only a fast printing speed. Its heatbed heats to 60°C in 180 seconds.

LARGE BUILD VOLUME

Despite its compact size, the K1 provides enough for your creativity to run wild. With a build volume of 220 x 220 x 250mm, this printer offers more than enough room to bring your imaginative designs to life.

AUTOMATIC BED LEVELING

The most exciting feature probably is the automatic calibration. How does it work? An automatic levelling function that uses a sensor to ensure that the bed is levelled before each print.

Consequently, with the built-in auto-levelling feature, the K1 is ready to go as soon as you unbox it! You will get the K1 fully assembled and calibrated.

EFFICIENT COOLING SYSTEM

The K1’s extruder has a very powerful two-sided cooling system that cools the freshly printed layers directly from both sides. An 18-watt case fan further increases the cooling effect. Thanks to this cooling system, the model hardens even before stringing or warping occurs.

Advantages of the Creality K1

All these new features are bringing a lot of advantages that will improve your workflow. Here are a few examples:

  • Efficient workflow: The build volume allows you more creative freedom without constantly thinking if the model will fit. Moreover, K1 has a sensor for filament runout detection.
  • Consistent & accurate prints: Your prints will be more stable and accurate due to its auto levelling and dual Z axis. Imagine a world without failed prints? So peaceful.
  • Easy removal of prints: The flexible magnetic build plate allows your prints to “pop” off after finished.
