Thermistors

Thermistors are temperature sensors used by the printer controller to regulate the hotend or heated bed. A damaged or incorrect sensor can cause unstable readings, thermal errors or unsafe heating behaviour. Replacement thermistors must match the printer's expected sensor type and firmware configuration as well as the physical mounting and connector. Never bypass thermal protection or continue printing with unreliable temperature readings. After replacement, confirm that room-temperature readings are plausible and that heating responds normally before running a print. Use manufacturer documentation whenever possible for sensor identification.
