The Snapmaker U1 brings true tool-changing technology to desktop multi-color and multi-material printing. Its four independent toolheads keep different filaments loaded and ready, allowing the SnapSwap™ system to change tools in around five seconds instead of repeatedly unloading, reloading and purging a single nozzle. Combined with a generous 270×270×270 mm build volume and toolhead speeds up to 500 mm/s, the U1 is built for colorful models, functional multi-material parts and support-intensive prints with significantly less filament waste

Precision across all four toolheads

Automatic toolhead offset calibration aligns all four nozzles within 0.04 mm, while Input Shaping, Pressure Advance, automatic flow compensation and mesh bed leveling help maintain clean surfaces and consistent extrusion at higher speeds. Steel-ball kinematic couplings lock each toolhead securely into position and have been tested by Snapmaker through more than one million tool changes.

The automatic filament system handles loading, filament detection and Backup Mode, while RFID recognition automatically identifies compatible Snapmaker filament. A built-in chamber camera provides live monitoring, and onboard detection systems monitor air printing, toolhead swaps, build plate presence and obstructions.

The BUNDLE includes the Snapmaker U1, 4 kg of AzureFilm Refill filament and four reusable AzureFilm Master Spools. The exact filament selection depends on the BUNDLE variation you choose.

You can choose between five different AzureFilm filament combinations: PLA Original, PLA Matte HS, PLA CMYK, LumberLay and PETG Hyper Speed. Each option includes 4 kg of Refill filament together with four reusable Master Spools.

AzureFilm Refill filaments come without a disposable spool. The four included Master Spools can be used with your Refills and reused again and again when you switch to a new compatible AzureFilm Refill.

The U1 uses four independent toolheads, each with its own nozzle and filament. Instead of repeatedly unloading, loading and purging a single nozzle, the printer automatically parks one toolhead and switches to another in around five seconds.

The U1 can keep four different filaments loaded at the same time, with one assigned to each toolhead. You can use four different colors or combine compatible materials for more advanced multi-material projects.

Yes. Because each filament stays loaded in its own nozzle, much less material needs to be flushed during color or material changes. Snapmaker reports up to 80% less purge waste, although the exact saving depends on the model and slicing settings.

In its standard configuration, the U1 supports materials including PLA, PETG, TPU, PVA and PCTG. Adding the optional Top Cover expands compatibility to materials such as ABS, ASA, PA and PC, while abrasive carbon- and glass-fiber-reinforced filaments require a suitable hardened steel nozzle.

The U1 provides a 270×270×270 mm build volume, offering plenty of room for larger models, functional parts and complex multi-color or multi-material projects.
