TPU 95A

TPU 95A is a flexible filament with rubber-like properties, made for parts that need to bend, stretch, compress and absorb impact.

Flexible filaments are classified using the Shore hardness scale, which ranges from 0 to 100 and is divided into categories such as Shore A and Shore D. Lower numbers mean a softer, more flexible material. A Shore hardness of 95A, offers a good balance between flexibility and strength.

TPU 95A must be printed slowly and is better suited for users with some 3D printing experience.

Tips & tricks

1. Not recommended for AMS/CFS-type systems

Flexible filament can buckle or drag in long feed paths.

2. Dry thoroughly before printing

Dry at 50 °C for 12 h and print from dry storage.

3. Use a direct, low-friction filament path

Short feed paths reduce buckling and under-extrusion.

4. Use a release layer on sticky beds

TPU can bond strongly to PEI/glass.

5. Keep the feed path cool

Avoid heated chambers and hot spool areas that soften the filament.

6. Recommended print speed

Use ≤ 30 mm/s for normal prints.
