How to print with PETG Hyper Speed filament like a pro

Get the Most Out of Your PETG Hyper Speed Prints

AzureFilm’s PETG Hyper Speed filament is designed for makers who want more—more speed, more strength, and more reliability. Though it’s based on our classic PETG formula, we’ve tested it up to an impressive 1000 mm/s on the FLSUN T1 Pro, making it a top choice for high-speed 3D printing without sacrificing quality. Want to experience the same results? Here’s how to set yourself up for success.

Dry it right

PETG is hygroscopic, which means it absorbs moisture from the air, even while sealed. For the best results, dry the filament at 60°C-65°C for 8h before printing.

Handle with care

Prevent your spool from unwinding or tangling. Proper storage and handling can save you from failed prints and unnecessary frustration.

Use our ready-made Print Profiles

We’ve created optimised slicer profiles for several popular 3D printers—available directly on our website. Installing them is quick and easy, and they’ll help you unlock the true speed potential of the filament. At that point, your printer’s motion system becomes the only limiting factor.

Max out infill speed

Set your sparse infill speed to the maximum, and then fine-tune the inner and outer wall speeds. It’s all about finding the sweet spot between print speed and surface quality.

Layer height hack

Smaller layer heights often produce faster prints than you’d expect. Lowering layer height without increasing print time means more detail at no cost to speed.

Test with OrcaSlicer

To truly test your setup, open OrcaSlicer and run the Maximum Flow Test from the calibration tab. This is a great way to identify how fast your 3D printer can go with AzureFilm PETG Hyper Speed.
