PLA Silk Dual Color
PLA Silk Dual Color combines the easy printability of PLA with a refined, silk-like glossy finish. Using advanced co-extrusion technology, two colors are blended into a single filament strand, creating smooth color transitions and a unique two-tone effect.
The final look shifts depending on the model shape, light direction and viewing angle, making every print more dynamic and eye-catching.
02 HELPFUL REMINDERS
Tips & tricks
1. Set wall speed for color blending
For better color blending, set inner and outer wall speed to 100 mm/s.
2. Orient the model intentionally
Part orientation changes which colors face the viewer.
3. Print a test cylinder first
Print a test cylinder to see the multicolor distribution before the real print, then rotate the object in the slicer to place color shifts intentionally.
4. Dry gently before printing
Dry at 45 °C for 4 h and store sealed.
5. Slower visible walls improve gloss
Use lower visible-wall speed when shine matters more than blend uniformity.
6. Recommended print speed
Use 60 mm/s outer walls for maximum shine and ≤ 250 mm/s for inner walls and infill. Max Printing Speed is the tested ceiling.
